Cannot login when using Neo2 keyboard layout and password is hidden

What you did

I tried to type my password to log in. The password visibility is turned off.

What happened

For each letter a * appears. When I push the login button, I am notified of a wrong password. When turning the password visibility on, I see that all non-alphanumeric signs (e.g. -, *) are replaced by the according signs of layer 1 (e.g. o, t, see Neo2 layout for details, this might not be relevant).

When I turn password visibility on, everything works correctly.

What you expected to happen

When typing the password with password visibility off, the result should be the same as when typing with password visibility on.

This seems to be an issue of Google Chrome.
