Why is a mono repo necessary? #10

In principle I am very excited about payload+remix. Though the project seems to be still very brittle and bug prone, and I think part of it is the added complexity of running everything as a mono repo with multiple packages. Shouldn't a regular old repo just work fine, like it's done with nextjs?
