Can't complete bootable drive creation. #357

Hi, I'm trying to create a bootable drive using a 8GB gift pen drive (don't know the brand). I've tried using ISO files, first "HIREN boot CD" and then "Winxp SP3". I get the same results, in some point of the decompresion of the ISO I get an error, and then the drive becomes write protected, luckily I solved this just by reinserting the drive. But any time I try to create the bootable device the process gets interrupted. I've used rufus succesfully with another USB drive. Here's the LOG. Thank you and sorry for my english, I'm from Argentina.

It looks like either your USB flash drive is failing, or you have a flaky connection or some external software, such as the one listed here is preventing access.

Considering that, according to your report, it only happens with this specific flash drive, and another works fine, it looks like a pure hardware issue and there isn't much I can do in Rufus to fix hardware problem...

fuyu85 commented 10 years ago

I've tried another program similar to Rufus and got a similar error, so it seems it's a problem with the flash drive, thank you for your answer.

OK, I'll close this issue then.
