Bluetooth keyboard doesn't send Ctrl or Alt #17

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Connect (Logitech) Bluetooth keyboard
2. Issue ctrl or alt sequence
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

For instance, when logging into a remote machine through ssh, Ctrl and Alt
don't get sent. I am also unable to send them to bash.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

I'm running a Galaxy Tab 10.1 with a Logitech bluetooth keyboard.

Please provide any additional information below.

This also seems to be a problem in a couple other applications, although
supposedly with Android 3.0, this can be implemented directly. A few examples
of discussion:

https://github.com/kruton/connectbot/pull/3
http://code.google.com/p/connectbot/issues/detail?id=369 (especially comment 55)

I'm not sure that it's a completely tractable problem, but it would be hugely
helpful to be able to use ctrl/alt and so on from inside terminal-ide. This
project is pretty impressive!

I'm a new user but I had the same problem and now it's working fine. I could
help you
debug it if you're still interested.

I have your exact configuration, tablet and keyboard.

When the keyboard, the tablet displays a message, and then changes your input
device to 'Samsung keypad'. Change the input method to anything else --
'English (US) Keyboard', Terminal IDE -- and ctrl will be sent.

That worked for me, and all the keys now get sent. Thanks!
