The same person wrote to us already (to hello address) for a similar event in Boston. My reply to him was:

We are seeking funding, but that which is suitable for a non-profit. Is any of your venture funds interested in investing in a bleeding edge non-profit in science and education space?

And his reply:

Hi Mitar - most of the investors that we bring focus on investing in for-profit entities, however you would likely still find the program a good venue for connecting with industry influencers who could help you meet your various objectives.

Because it was far we decided not to go. I still don't think we would gain much by going. But if you are interested in going, we could do something about it.

Computer History Museum is definitely worth a visit. :-)

raaswol commented 9 years ago

I'd like to see the museum, but have to admit venture summit doesn't sound that appealing.

ciaobrian commented 9 years ago

Ok so close this ticket?

I think I should still respond though. ignoring is not nice haha. Should I basically send the same reply you sent?

mitar commented 9 years ago

Yes. :-) You can word it a bit differently if you want. :-)

ciaobrian commented 9 years ago

Ok I will respond tomorrow afternoon!

Klarster commented 9 years ago

Hi,

I have to agree with Mitar and Rachel here. VC funding is really not what we're looking for (at least right now), as I understand.
