Percy no longer captures embedded pdf viewer since Cypress v12.15.0 and above

The problem

When updating to cypress v12.15 or later, percy no longer captures a pdf rendered in the chrome embedded viewer. We can see the pdf is shown correctly when running the same test in visual mode, but Percy just captures a grey screen.

Environment

• Node version: v18.16
• @percy/cli version: v1.26.2
• Version of Percy SDK you’re using: v3.1.2
• If needed, a build or snapshot ID: 1618692772
• OS version: linux
• Type of shell command-line [interface]:

When run visually this is what we see, but percy just captures a grey screen when taking a snapshot of the same page.
