Which talks should be promoted with Comms pre-event? #33

As @Xyarz & I prepare for useR! Conf 2023, I was wondering if should we have the R Consortium (and perhaps PHUSE) advertise that upcoming talk? It's not an event we're hosting, nor does it offer remote access or free registration. So, it seems it's the most restrictive in terms of influencing our audience to tune in. Thus, I was wondering if it's worth initiating any comms to promote the talk. I'm open to other's suggestions, but wanted to propose a potential rubric to follow for when we should / shouldn't involve our comm partners for events (below) promotion. Please let me know your thoughts:

The alternative is that we promote all the time. In any case, a follow-up summary on social or blog would be nice for any of the above scenarios. Any thoughts?

Yeah, that's a good point. I would probably advertise the mailing list and our sign-up page (found at https://www.pharmar.org/contribute/) so that folks that are interested have a next step.

Otherwise, both our session at posit::conf and R/Pharma are still rather exclusive/pharma-specific, so I think I agree that just giving them resources to learn more might hit the right note for this session.
