Base heating on one zone at a time, plus temp index question #420

My apologies if this isn't the right place to ask a question like this.

I have a 3 room apartment, but the temperatures of each room vary wildly. Would it be possible to replace the very basic thermostat in my apartment that has only one heating zone with this system, and then tell the thermostat which room I am in, and then turn the heat on/off based only on the temp in that room. If I'm in my office the temperature of my living room is irrelevant, and that is where my thermostat is now.

Additionally, I live in Minnesota and it gets very dry indoors. I was toying with the idea of basing the heating on temperature index as opposed to air temp, but it really might not make much of a difference.

One of PiHOME's features is temperature controll over different zones, but your actual plumbing should be designed this way. If you have radiators, one solution is to attach an electric valve to each of them and then every radiator would be controlled separately.
