This is already available. When editing a reply from the front end, there will be an option to mark the poster's reply as private.
The mark as private check box only shows up when I edit one of my replies, not another users. As an admin I should be able to set that, right?
Maybe I don't have the latest version. I'll try re-installing.

Ok, I figured it out ... and now that I give it a half a thought, it makes sense.
I have open forums that accepts guest replies and restricted forums [the EDD add-on Content Restriction]. The open forum guest replies are the ones that can not be marked private.
What I need need to do is not allow guest replies at all and have them create an account in order to post a topic and reply, even for the open forums. Then replies can be marked private.
Ah! That makes sense.
For example, I had a poster post a reply, but did make it private. When editing a reply, there should be a check box to make it private for the poster.
