Display HS300 as one power strip device rather than six individual plugs #181

Open a-dows opened 3 years ago

a-dows commented 3 years ago

Expected Behavior

The HS300 should appear as one device with six controllable outlets. Native HomeKit powerstrips, like the Koogeek strip, appear as a single device.

Current Behavior

The six plugs on an HS300 appear as individual switches. Grouping them in HomeKit prevents them from being controlled individually.

Version

Homebridge 1.3.1 homebridge-tplink-smarthome 6.1.0

The same issue happens with the KP303 - 3 outlets and a USB charger, all displayed as individual devices.

The Meross equivalent - mss425f - which is HomeKit native displays as a composite device in the Home app, one icon with five controllable outlets.

I would love to see this function added, please.

Was pointed here from #182, using hardware version 1.0, firmware 1.0.19.

Basically can't control any plug reliably because of timeouts.
