expand, find ISSNs when available?
list of abbreviated terms could be used to automatically expand many of the journal names
The more the better – BUT: if this adds more work, that postpones the upload, then not do it. If it adds more ambiguities than it resolves, then not add. Ideally we coordinate this with the clean list used in Zoobank. But since this is a notorious unreliable piece of work, then I would not do it. You might ask Rich for a list of journal names, abbreviations and ISSN, if it is just pro forma so we can point out that we tried to coordinate. If he does not reply within 2 days, I would just go ahead.

I agree. We'll focus on getting the data prepped for ingest into Zenodo. In the meantime, I'll reach out to Rich and treat this as a secondary/longer term goal
I actually did quiet some work for Rich to get all the antbase/HOL journal names sorted out, but it never got beyond this.
I guess, at the end the DOI will be really relevant. But then this might even be an intermediary step towards a really unique identifier for publications by the occasional multiple DOIs for the same. Something we discussed before and agreed, we are not too worried about it.
So, I agree, go ahead
