linking figures to article deposit in BLR

@gsautter is this an artifact that the figure citation in this deposit is not linked to the the figure?

Am I missing something here? article https://zenodo.org/record/7477141 does link to figure https://zenodo.org/record/7477189 in its related identifiers, and the figure links back to the article as well ... could just be that you looked right after the first round of uploads (collecting all the IDs and links), but before the second round of uploading (adding all the related links to all the depositions) ...

Import via BLR contrib doesn't make the slightest difference to the uploader that ads the links and depositions, apart from the fact that the PDF deposition already exists before the first round of uploading (see above).

Ok - it is there now. How long will it take from the moment the artticle and the figures are deposited in BLR to be linked? Must be more than 30 minutes?

Depends upon traffic, really ... if the Zenodo uploader has a full queue, there can absolutely be some delay, especially if Zenodo is slow, which affects the whole queue, obviously. Even a single large document with a big number of figures can have that effect, as every figure turns into a deposition, and a deposition takes some 5-10 seconds to create.

In Plovdiv I've discussed with Alex various ways of speeding up Zenodo uploads, but I don't think any of those have been implemented yet.

Only the 5 minute timeout of the link write-back service (ELS) after gathering all the external links, and that latency is necessary to prevent link distribution from happening in a piecemeal fashion over multiple rounds, which would be far slower overall (potentially updating the same Zenodo depositions multiple times, etc.).
