This is really a bug but it seems that the way song mode operates has changed. When editing the song copying / pasting blocks etc while listening, I press record, move the cursor, make some edits, hit record again to continue just listening leaving the cursor where it was. Now if I notice something I want to change in the current pattern and hit record again the cursor jumps back to its previous location, losing where I want to make the edit.
Has this always been the case or has something changed?
I’m sure that before when I hit record it would freeze where I was not where I had been. It was as if the cursor had a ‘snap to play head’ function whereas now unless I move the cursor back to the play head the two remain disassociated.
Like I said not really a bug, more of a question about an alteration to workflow, if it has been altered.
Cheers
Edit - Just created a new song and this doesn’t seem to be happening so maybe it’s a quirk of and old song on new os, weird.
