[1.6.0b4] LFO clicking #1518

Open sebpmtl opened 2 years ago

sebpmtl commented 2 years ago

Steps to reproduce

On LFO retriggering (by changing Amount in settings page), clicking occurs because of zero-crossing. Also, It'd be great if retriggering/resets didn't happen by changing the Amount but through the sequencer like in Renoise.

Something like #1487? @sebpmtl

sebpmtl commented 2 years ago

yes. You call it recalculate. Is it the same as resetting? the way a normal lfo reset works?

PRAYTHEPO commented 2 years ago

It's not normal behaviour. We must wait for Polyend to fix it. As i understand, this mess occurs only when you change LFO parameters while song is playing

Does it click on sine?

I really love my tracker, I dreamt about a machine like this for years, being a tracker guy, with the performance page and all and it's getting better but yeah, clicking envelopes are my pet peeve. Even with modular, I got a vca with zero-crossing detection but I like to be able to control the clicking. I think the Minilogue had that same problem.

Does it click on sine?

it works well on ''triangle''. It also does it with panning. But when using a triangle waveform with panning, it does weird static noises .
