Large Zip-File (3.64 GB) cant't be extracted #200

For obvious reasons I can't provide the file, but extracting worked well
with the os x 10.5 built in extractor.

Well, without a test case there is not much I can do about it.

You should be able to create a test file reasonably easily if you have a few
large files lying around your hard
drive. I created at 3.9GiB file (from some movies, using the command line zip
utility), and it fails to extract in
The Unarchiver with the message 'The contents of the file "test.zip" can not be
extracted with this program.".
Extracts fine with the default Archive Utility in Snow Leopard.

Is the problem triggered even if the individual files are smaller than 2GB?

It was for me. None of the files I used were even over 1GiB - just the archive
was 3.9GiB. I think that's what
Roland was describing - the archive file itself, not the individual files, was
3.64GB.

Probably fixed, but it's not like I can say for sure.
