A possible solution might be to have the COSMIC extension check if the search providers are enabled, and disable them itself if they are.
and what if some one is not that satisfied with the launcher and thus willingly enables all those search providers through the terminal?

Worth considering. I've added a suggestion to the issue that the extension only alter the settings the first time it's run rather than every time. That way they can be re-enabled again without issue.
After upgrading from Pop!_OS 20.10 to 21.04 and having the COSMIC desktop installed for the first time, the configuration of GNOME's search providers carries over from the previous, non-COSMIC settings. This causes things like the calculator and file search to appear on COSMIC's Applications screen. It also becomes difficult to disable the providers to restore the intended behavior, as the 'Search' panel is gone from the GNOME Control Center in 21.04.
A possible solution might be to have the COSMIC extension check if the search providers are enabled, and disable them itself if they are. Might be better to have this only happen the first time COSMIC runs, rather than every time - as some users might go out of their way to enable the providers and be annoyed if they're repeatedly switched off again against their wishes.
