Hi, since one week sending articles with mercury doesnt work. I am checking sent articles on amazon acconunt but it isnt updated each time when I use mercury reader. I tried to check with sending article from my private email and it worked, so I assume there is issue with sending services. To forward your question - I enabled reciving emails from mercuryreader@postlight.com

Please, help on that. Best Regards, Marcin

I'm guessing this is the issue mentioned at : https://blog.fivefilters.org/2021/01/24/amazon-send-to-kindle-changes.html (Amazon have tightened their security about 'send to kindle' and are checking that when you send a request claiming to be from 'mercuryreader@postlight.com' you really are mercuryreader@postlight.com. I'd guess the fix would be to change mercury reader to use a configurable email address (a different one for each user)?

I too am having the same problems. It's very frustrating and annoying as I have numerous scientific papers I need to read every week an it was great being able to just send them to my Kindle to read later as opposed to being stick to my desktop browser for ages.

Anyone got any alternative ideas please? Thanks in anticipation.

I found new extention - It is "Send to Kindle" works the same as mercury app.

Thanks. I did try this but it seems to send only the link and not the whole article as PDF as Mercury Reader did.

Not as convenient as an extension, you can email a PDF file to your kindle. This has been available for a long time and has worked for me. https://www.amazon.com/gp/sendtokindle/email

Thanks angrycandy. I'll give this a try.

Hi Sure, Send to Kindle does the job of sending PDFs to a Kindle, but Mercury Reader has the advantage of formatting web articles for easier reading and that feature becomes even more useful when you send one of those Mercury-Reader-formatted web articles to a Kindle: it is a much better Kindle reading experience than that same article saved as PDF with some other tool and then sent to a Kindle.

Hope Postlight will fix this issue. Igor

This tool is working for me in the meantime: https://pushtokindle.fivefilters.org/

Just make sure to add kindle@fivefilters.org to your approved email address list in your Amazon account settings.
