Trackpad for Mac freezes when allowing Driver

macOS version: macOS 15.1 Karabiner version: Karabiner-Elements 15.3.0 Your Mac hardware: 2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5 MacBook Pro 2020 Your keyboard hardware: Normal Mac keyboard

I have deduced it to every time I allow the driver extension ".Karabiner-VirtualHIDDevice-Manager" my trackpad completely freezes and I am unable to navigate my Macbook with it.

The only fix to this has been shutting off and turning on my computer, which allows me around 20-30 seconds to quickly load settings to try and disable the extension. If I don't make it, it freezes again and I've had to try several times and get lucky to do it quick enough.

I am curious to know why this is happening? Most of my friends have had no issues with your software.

If you have enabled "Unsafe configuration" in the Expert tab of Karabiner-Elements settings and have enabled the Apple Trackpad in the Devices tab, that may be the cause of the issue. Please check your settings.

Both of those things were set to the right settings. I tried one more time and it froze once more. Please advise.

If that’s the case, some other system extensions might be affecting it. You can check by running systemextensionsctl list in Terminal or by using the EventViewer included with Karabiner-Elements to view the active system extensions.
