Left handed support for RE7/8 (inputs mainly, hand swap would be nice too later on) #347

Since you can't rebind the controllers seperately in Steam VR controller settings, would it be possible to have an option in the framework itself to swap inputs for left handed players? (not hand model swap, just the inputs).

I tried to rebind but the controls are set to mirror mode in steam vr controller settings and on top the inputs aren't labeled in a way to distinquish the exact action or which controller to use. For example if I wanted to switch movement from the left thumbstick to the right one I just can't as the input is just labeled as "Joystick". So no way to say the controller this is movement or this is turning. Besides that if it would be JoystickLeft or JoystickRight, where JoystickLeft would be always movement, then you could change. Easiest way would be having the inputs labeled to their actions like:

That honestly would make this my go to vr game but I feel like there might be some issues like when Mia cuts off your hand in the beginning of re7, would it be possible to script it to your right?

Dear! How to solve the problem of left-handers? Can you reply instead of redirecting from the same topics?))

There is none atm. You can ask someone to modify the bindings and reupload. But that has to be done every time a new version comes out if you want to be up to date. For being able to actually hold weapons with the left hand... there is no option for that. That's why I need to play with gamepad, as I can't hit shit with my right hand. Atm we can just hope we will get some left handed options in the future.

I usually visite here to read any new update for lefthanded person. It's such a great mod except that I can't play it very well since I'm lefthanded. I really hope so bad that It will support

I hope too this might be moddable in the future. Would also be happy if there was an option for keybindings or if we could remap inputs in the SteamVR controller settings as I have no clue how to mod a file myself. For now I have to play with a regular gamepad.

Is it possible to remap controller inputs in general in REFramework? I would like an option to swap the bumpers/triggers, as in RE7, in the other Resident Evil games. I know you can do this in Steam Input, reWASD, etc., but that also affects the menu controls.
