To approximate the posterior, the original says "A simple one is a fully factorized model, $q(z_{1:T})=\prod_t q(zt\big\vert x{1:t})$". I believe it should have been $q(z{1:T}\big\vert x{1:T})=\prod_t q(zt\big\vert x{1:t})$.
