For me, Canary(Defense) means Thief with bag of money stepping on a mousetrap in front of a house exit door, digital art.

I found that what we learned about the concept of canary defense in the course is slightly different with what I knew about canary deployment. Canary deployment means releasing a new version of software to a relatively small number of users to check if the update has bugs, whereas canary defense checks that canary value hasn't changed at the end of the function. (Similar to a checksum) I think it's like setting a trap infront of an exit door to indicate thief has entered the house.
