Preparation work for maintenance release.

Looks pretty good, I'll see if I can test it on the weekend. The situation with the documentation is a bit strange. It looks like the original pdf was generated, but I don't know from where. The source seems to be missing from this repo. Did you convert to odt with libreoffice or do is that the source document?

The .sxw file is the original source, which I converted to .odt. Form there I exported as .pdf, which is almost identical to the original PDF. In the future I would want to convert this in a better format for writing documentation, for example asciidoc. SXW was the former default format of Star Office/Open Office back then.
