We've received a comment that staff notes in the 949 fields are not visible in the MARC view of the CAT. These may be just functional, but they're not evaluated for appropriateness for public visibility. However, public notes are kept in the same field. This is 949 subfield o. View the MARC records of the records below for examples of each. They will have .STAFF or .PUBLIC in the subfield o, depending on the type of note. Ideally the .STAFF notes would not show up in our MARC view / in our MARCXML because they should only be accessed in Workflows.
