I just added a pull request to the BIDS specification repo (https://github.com/bids-standard/bids-specification/pull/81) to make clear that the standard itself is openly licensed. This information was in the google doc but not in the repository yet.
If you're ok with having the text be CC-BY then here's a license to make that clear!
