I like the idea submitted above
As a worship musician/singer in small portable locations (e.g. outreach etc) I
would love an application where I can select and control the display of songs
on a projector whilst also having the chords/lyrics on my own display (maybe an
Android tablet). This might require a foot controller of some kind - USB or a
Midi control box?
Features:
find next song (before display)
- one hand available to find title/first line on Tablet touch screen
- select and bring up chords on Tablet display
Start display of new song
- foot-switch starts lyrics projection
- foot-switch forward back to page through verse/chorus/bridges etc
Perhaps a Quelea-mini port to Android!!

Thanks or the above ideas, ill definitely take them into consideration. Foot
pedal control could definitely be good! A quelea port to an android tablet
would also be an interesting thing to look at.

Let's see if we can take a look at this for the next major release.

There's a lot currently in the mix for 0.6 that should probably take priority
over this, bump down to 0.7.

Hi I'm wondering if web server application could be good solution here as it
is in OpenLP. This solution give more portability. It will work on each device
connected to the LAN with web browser installed. Obviously there could be
problem with pedal control.

I agree this would be the best solution - in fact I'd like to go one further
and propose a REST based API that Quelea runs, and then clients of any flavour
can call that API to alter or view Quelea's state. This would enable us to use
webapps to start with (which I agree is the best starting point), but then also
write clients for multiple devices later using said API.

Good suggestion with REST API but this demand good implementation of MVC. Is
there any control point for Quelea GUI which can be used for sending events in
to it.

None specifically at the moment - some refactoring may be needed in that sense
(I've yet to think about the specifics!)

Changed to low priority in light of browser remote control. Still necessary and
fun, just less urgent.
