Sometimes you need your presentation as a document. For documentation. You can export a complete HTML right now, but that doesn't suffice for documentation purposes for universities, for example. Browsers change and you can't be sure that the presentation looks exactly the same a few years in the future. You can't always be sure with PDF either, but that is a different issue and it is trusted more.
