Configuration for showing controls

It would be nice if we could have a configuration value for never showing
controls (in the preferences or at least a gconf field) instead of having
to press "C" each time or to launch g-m with --showcontrols=0.

Most people want the controls shown by default, if you prefer not to have that
provide a patch or set showcontrols = 0 in main.c around line 633 and recompile.

Didn't really apply clean and there was one problem, but I made it work. Code 
is now
in SVN.
