System sound is mute on new track #343

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. add to gnome-mplayer playlist some files
2. start playing
3. push "next" or wait for playing first track ends

Expected: The second track is started successfully.
Actual: it is started successfully, but system sound is disabled.

gnome-mplayer 0.9.8 on Fedora 12, desktop: GNOME 2.28.2

Preferences: audio output is set to "alsa"
