Volume very low at start. Any hints? #352

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start program
2. volume is ca. 20%

Longer info:
I found this line in main():

idledata->volume = 100.0;

However, the volume is always very low when I start the program. Any hints?
Maybe the program stores the volume in a file which fails to be written to
when the program closes due to file rights? (just a common problem).

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
100% volume at program start

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.9.8

Please provide any additional information below.
Ubuntu 9.10; Linux sun 2.6.31-17-generic #54-Ubuntu SMP Thu Dec 10 16:20:31
UTC 2009 i686 GNU/Linux

pleas upgrade to 0.9.9.2 or higher. Also if your system came with pulse audio by
default and you removed it, it could cause issues. Also try setting the Audio
Output
to pulse or alsa.

This fixes for me. Go to Options > Mplayer tab > select Mplayer software
control and and remember last volume
