I removed totem after install gnome-mplayering on Debian, yet lost the
nautilus audio/video preview. gnome-mplayer is compiled without nautilus
support in Debian, I guess because of the duplicate preview panes. And
AFAIK, opensuse offers that feature under a different gnome-mplayer
package.
I assume they do because Totem is installed by default on every Gnome
install, perhaps making the preview an option/plugin in gnome-mplayer's
preferences window (off by default on new install) will avoid having to
install another package (opensuse) or building debianized sources changing
build flags (as I did). If this was to be included, packages maintainers
can't say no to including this build option, and could become a default.
This is a very nice feature that cannot be missed!
Thanks for your nice work with gnome-mplayer.
