Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open "Preferences" window.
2. -
3. -

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I see an extra-large window, larger than my desktop width (1280p), not
resizeable. It's necessary to drag the window back and forth to see and
click on options - a little anoyance.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
gnome-mplayer 0.9.9.2
OS: Ubuntu 10.04-RC Amd64

Well that is not how it is coded to look or looks on my screen... I'll have
Cesare
look at it.

Are you using the ubuntu packages or is this self compiled?

I'm using the original packages, nothing self compiled.

Does this happen with a new/clean account on the same machine?

Yes, it still happens.

Can you try with another Gnome theme? Just a shot in the dark but those sliders
sure
looks funny. Other than that, perhaps a problem with the portugues (or is that
brazilian) translation? Not likely but worth a try.

I've tried some different themes, and nothing changed.

But changing from Portuguese (Brazilian) to English seemed to solve the
problem! The
window now is appearing correctly :-)

Only to clarify: the window shows right in English only.

Found and fixed in SVN, pt_BT translation was missing some linefeeds. I added
those
in the right spots and now the preference screen looks correct on my screen now,
where before the change it did not.
