sounds like Chrome broke something.. please open an issue with them. I tested
it here
and there are extra error messages that are emitted as to why chrome does not
load
the plugins. The same plugins load fine in Firefox.

Chrome is blacklisting gecko-mediaplayer due to a bug in Chrome. I have talked
to the Chrome developers and they are looking into the issue.

mmm... I heard people say it crashes a lot with chrome thats why they blacklist
it. Speed is not the only thing in a browser. Firefox is not as fast but at
least things work. I am already back to Firefox

gecko-mediaplayer crashes alot in chrome due to a bug in chrome having to do
with the gtk_main_loop. And until they fix the bug they will continue to
blacklist it.
