Issues when switching a video to fullscreen #418

After have installed the latest svn at the moment I write I noticed some issues
when watching fullscreen videos. Seeing I use only gl video mode because I only
watch videos with subtitles (and gl renders them superlative) I noticed some
issues depending the window manager used:

> With Compiz
Clicking twice on the video the player needs 2~3 seconds to switch to
fullscreen and that it's really annoying.

>With Metacity
Clicking twice on the video the application goes quickly to fullscreen but when
you reclick twice to return to window mode the video is a little smaller and
and gets always smaller going from fullscreen to window mode. The same
behaviour applies to other video outs like xv or x11.

1. Must be a problem with your machine or video driver. With compiz full screen
is instant for me.

2. Aware of it, have not been able to fix it. Appears to be side effect on
window resize code, but can't figure out why.

@kdekorte
1. If I choose xv as video out the fullscreen is instant. With gl I have to add
that at the beginning the change is immediate but if you click continuously on
the video you noticed the behaviour I said.
Have you tried with gl video out?

And then before saying it's only a my issue shouldn't we wait if others
experience the same problem?

With gl2 vo, fullscreen is instant as well. gl does not work on my setup. And
if this was a general problem, I would have heard about it before. So when
there are vo problems and the video driver is nvidia, almost always the problem
is with the nvidia driver.

@kdekorte
I experienced the same issue with gl2.
Ok so I'll wait for a fix for #2 (Metacity case)

Thanks for your support.

I am using metacity and gnome-mplayer 1.0.0-svn1777. When switching from
fullscreen to window mode the video gets vertically smaller. Issue 433 is about
the same. It is not a big problem as people usually don't switch from
fullscreen to window mode several times. Anyway would be nice to have it fixed
some day.

This should be more or less fixed in current SVN
