The same also happens if in step 3 you double-click on top of a song in order
to stop playing it.

Does it occur with SVN?

Update: it only occurs when Show Controls = true.

I guess I don't understand the issue or I can't duplicate it. Show controls
should only affect the window height when it is visible. Appears there might be
some issues with the remember window size option, but not sure that is the same
issue.

I'll describe the steps to replicate it in a simpler scenario:
1) Open one song
2) Make the window wider
3) Double click over that song
Try with both Place Playlist Below Media and Show Controls enabled .

Well I can confirm this using Gnome-Mplayer 1.0. The top image is when I
(first) open 1 song and the bottom image is when I (afterwards) open multiple
songs. Also if I open multiple files first and then open 1 file, it will do the
opposite and shrink a little in width.

Yes, I can duplicate this issue. Just have not had time to look into solving it.

Can you test the SVN r1837 code, it appears to work better now.

Are you sure you pulled the patch right, as it doesn't seem to do that here.

Yeah, you're right. I've built the right revision but my system refused to
install it because of conflicting dependencies with the gecko-mplayer package
and I didn't realize it. It's working fine now. Thanks!
