How to block outgoing connection to assets.mozilla.net in about:config?

When do these connections happen/which feature causes requests to assets.mozilla.net?

On startup only. Together with firefox.settings.services.mozilla.com

Related to/duplicate of https://github.com/pyllyukko/user.js/issues/509

As long as we don't know exactly which features are causing these connections/which settings controls it/do not have a full pcap it will be very impossible to act on this.
