Open liuyu81 opened 3 months ago
It's been almost 3 months, and we never heard back from the current project owner (leif
).
@Thespi-Brain could you help with looking into this?
Hi @liuyu81,
We are going through the PEP 541 issue backlog in the order in which they came in to make it fair to all of our users. We will get to your issue as soon as we can, thanks for your patience.

The latest (and sole) release of the
spike
project was in 2012. The project does not have a homepage link, and its description is empty. We believe it is abandoned. We intend to publish a different package under the same name. Our project provides Python bindings for the Spike RISC-V ISA Simulator (https://github.com/riscv-software-src/riscv-isa-sim).
Further information about our project can be found in our talk at RISC-V Summit China 2024

Contact and additional research
The PyPI project spike did not provide information about its owner leif. We found a name (Leif Strand) and email address (leif@cacr.caltech.edu) from another PyPI project lemonade owned by the same user. In addition, we have found the mention of another email address (leif@geodynamics.org) from a previous PEP 541 request #87.
We sent emails to both addresses. The former has no responses, and the latter was rejected by the mail server.
