Raster Simbology Improvement

I am a freelance in geomatics application so I daily manage digital elevation models and everything concerning 3D features. I would really appreciate if the Raster simbology could have the same classification types such as for vector files, in particular "Pretty Breaks" and "Natural Breaks" classification. I hope this can be considered and added to next QGIS versions.

Really hope Natural Breaks (Jenks) can be added to the raster styling. When dealing with density rasters which has a large number range, it can be misleading to use equal interval or quantile.

in general, many, me included, perceive a need for finer-grained control on color ramps such as

• fixed interval / quantiles / nice breaks similar to what exists for vectors, as per the OP's request;
• colorRamps based on the log (or other transformations, such as sqrt) of a property (a workaround is to use the raster calculator, but this is clumsy and requires auxiliary layers);
• manually defined breakpoints (e.g. for combined bathy/topo ramps, you positively want the blue/green limit to be at 0, irrespective of the histogram) (a workaround, as per the above stackexchange link, is a manually defined color ramp);
• etc.

At present is possible to manually define breakpoints by:

• first > symbology
• render: pseudo color band
• interpolation:linear
• select color ramp
• classification mode: continuous
• Change by hand the brakpoint values as you desire
