Abstract

One promising application of quantum computers is related to quantum Chemistry. Using the Variational quantum eigensolver (VQE), it is possible to find the minimum eigenvalue of a Hermitian matrix that characterises a molecule, this would be the ground state energy of that system. Use the VQE algorithm to calculate the ground state energy of a molecule (H2, BeH2, or any other molecule you like).
