I use QtCreator 4.3.1 with Qt 5.9.1 on macOS Sierra 10.12.6. I have followed the instructions at https://github.com/qtquickvcp/MachinekitSDK#install-with-qtcreator. I can see the files are copied:

//Qt/5.9.1/clang_64/bin/qmake -install qinstall //Projects/MachinekitSDK/qtcreator/wizards/machinekitapplication //Qt/Tools/QtCreator/share/qtcreator/templates/wizards/machinekitapplication //Qt/5.9.1/clang_64/bin/qmake -install qinstall //Projects/MachinekitSDK/qtcreator/wizards/qtquickvcpproject //Qt/Tools/QtCreator/share/qtcreator/templates/wizards/qtquickvcpproject //Qt/5.9.1/clang_64/bin/qmake -install qinstall //Projects/MachinekitSDK/qtcreator/wizards/halfile //Qt/Tools/QtCreator/share/qtcreator/templates/wizards/halfile //Qt/5.9.1/clang_64/bin/qmake -install qinstall //Projects/MachinekitSDK/qtcreator/wizards/bbiofile //Qt/Tools/QtCreator/share/qtcreator/templates/wizards/bbiofile //Qt/5.9.1/clang_64/bin/qmake -install qinstall //Projects/MachinekitSDK/qtcreator/wizards/qtquickvcpapplication //Qt/Tools/QtCreator/share/qtcreator/templates/wizards/qtquickvcpapplication

but no project templates or wizards appear in the IDE after I restart it or even the entire computer.

Works immediately on Windows 7 64-bit.
