Return distance value when using spatial query #144

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
The spatial query return rows with a location nearest a
(lat, long) but would be awesome if it could also return the calculated distance
from each row's location to the lookup (lat, long) point.
Could function: ST_DISTANCE(<location_column>, <coordinate>) be used to return
the distance value?

Thanks.

Accessing distance from the search point in the returned results for spatial
queries will help a lot for the location based applications example (store
locators)
