If I understand the guidelines correctly, @source
is intended to be used on schemaSpec to indicate the reference specification against which a schema is designed. Your link seems to say the opposite. I would not use @version
on schemaSpec to the purpose you mention.

Revised the wiki page to correct the error that Laurent pointed out.
There's already a cross-reference from section 23.2 to all of chapter 22, which explains how to use schemaSpec@source. As for TEI@version in the ODD, this is something a bit different that doesn't need to be explained here.
