Happened to me, too (Safari 14.1.1, macOS 11.4). Once I went to a board, I could back to the board selection screen, but no further, including back to HN. It just doesn't go - no errors in the console, but never goes back further. Are you doing something with the browser's history?

Reproduced with MacOS 10.14 / Chrome:

Navigate from Hacker News page to Ourboard and back with back button, no issues.
Navigate from Hacker News to Ourboard, Create a board, Back. After that, cannot go Back to Hacker News

Fixed in 235d1d9acc664bde3818be48fdc3b5c18066144b
