Throw NPE instead of JavaScriptException #275

Some of our GWT tests currently accept JavaScriptException instead of
NullPointerException.  It would be nice to eliminate this diff between GWT
and non-GWT tests.

Whether we do this for 1.0 depends on whether it gets in our way when
getting the tests out the door.

Honestly, I am not even viewing "getting the tests out the door" as critical 
for 1.0. 
We'll just run them internally. Then after 1.0 we can move everything over to 
guava, 
and then work on getting the tests working there.  Hopefully by then there'll 
have 
been time to make more of the tests "amphibious" than are currently.

This issue has been moved to the Guava project (keeping the same id number). 
Simply replace 'google-collections' with 'guava-libraries' in your address 
bar and it should take you there.
