What for? OpenSudoku has no background services that I know of.

OpenSudoku will occupy system resources which could have been used by other
programs
instead. In my phone I have to use a task manager to kill applications in order
to
free up memory.

This is standard behavior, application is kept paused in memory when it is not
active.
It is killed automatically by system if there is not enough memory. There's no
need to
kill it by other means.
