Attempting to 'make flash' on Kali throws Can't find programmer id "linuxspi" #11

I'm running a Raspberry Pi 4b with the Kali ARM image flashed onto my SD drive. Downloaded the repo, ran make (with seemingly no issue) and now I get the following when trying to run make flash:

Sounds like a Kali issue if they don't provide a build of avrdude with the right programmer enabled.

https://github.com/kcuzner/avrdude appears to be the original fork of avrdude that adds linuxspi support.
