MPlayer interrupted by signal 11 in module: dvdnav lang->id #677

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

1. File >> Disc >> Open DVD with Menus
2. Wait till error message appears: "MPlayer interrupted by signal 11 in
module: dvdnav lang->id"

I've watched several DVDs in MPlayer, and they've all worked just fine. I
popped one in today and got this error. I know that the DVD is a legitimate,
functional DVD because it'll play in other DVD players -- but not in MPlayer.

I'm using MPlayer 1.0.6 on Ubuntu 12.10. Thanks!

Can you please run gnome-mplayer -v from a terminal and paste the output into
this issue and I will try to help you.

Most likely you will need to upgrade gnome-mplayer and mplayer to fix the
problem.

Looks like a bug in mplayer2 (you are using a fork of mplayer) which is the
reason for this crash.

How can I use the non-forked version? Is the non-forked version available in
the repos, or do I have to compile it myself?

I don't know as I don't use Ubuntu. I'm sure the normal mplayer is available as
a package.

Well, the version I'm using came with Ubuntu, so I'm guessing that that's the
only version available in the repos. I'll check later, though.
