Feature Request: Uniformly Distributed Loads Normal to Shell Element Surface #191

Hello, I was wondering if you might consider adding a feature in GiD Opensees that would allow for the definition of uniform loads normal to shell element surfaces. For example, one such application would be the application of a hydrostatic pressure inside (or on the outside) of a pipe that is modelled using shell elements. The user would define the pressure acting on the shell element surface and GiD Opensees would have to determine the equivalent nodal loads and create the necessary load commands in the tcl script. Thanks.

Hi!

Are there any news about? I'd like to apply a uniform surface pressure on elements. But due to the load are transferred to the nodes if the areas of the elements are not costant therefore the pressure is not costant.

How can I upgrade the surface load element in GID+OpenSees?
