Can you please move the preface upwards? I would suggest

intro
covers
notes to the translation
prefaces
panels... What do you think @damianodamiani? Also, would it not make sense to have the back cover right at the bottom of all of it? As a reader that's where I would go looking for it...

Sorry, I must have loaded a wrong branch. The order with frontmatter makes a lot of sense to me! Only where is the other preface (the 1957 one?)
