Feature Description
new feature called High-Risk which will indicate whether a patient is in a high-risk category for asthma based on their symptoms. We'll define High-Risk as having a score of 1 for any two or more of the following symptoms: Difficulty-in-Breathing, Nasal-Congestion, and Sore-Throat.
Use Case
Clinical Decision Support:
Use Case: Doctors and healthcare providers can use the High-Risk feature to quickly identify patients who may require more urgent attention or intensive care. Implementation: In a hospital's Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, this feature can flag patients with a High-Risk status, prompting healthcare providers to prioritize their examination and treatment. Preventive Health Programs:
Use Case: Public health officials can use the High-Risk feature to target preventive measures and educational programs more effectively. Implementation: By analyzing data from various communities, officials can identify high-risk populations and deploy resources such as free health check-ups, asthma management workshops, and distribution of preventive medications. Remote Monitoring and Telehealth:
Use Case: Patients with a High-Risk status can be monitored remotely using telehealth services to ensure they manage their symptoms effectively. Implementation: Remote monitoring devices can send regular updates to healthcare providers about patients' symptoms. If a patient's status changes to High-Risk, the system can automatically schedule a telehealth appointment or send alerts to the patient and their caregivers. Insurance Risk Assessment:
Use Case: Insurance companies can use the High-Risk feature to assess the risk levels of their clients and adjust premiums or coverage plans accordingly.
