not able to sign in to stream #31

I have tried a Windows 11, Windows 10, and virtual machine Windows 10 and nothing is working. If you open RPAN Studio, stream, settings, and try to sign it, it will always say "wrong password", I know I'm typing the correct password because I'm signed in on the browser. Also, others users are saying the same thing on r/RPANStudio.

I am also having this issue, have tried on several machines, several operating systems and it persists.

mods of r/RPANStudio replied that its a bug right now and to contact the admins. I guess we are in the right place.

Same here, thanks windows...

Yes, I tested on MAC, and Linux and it works, but only on Windows, it's not working.

Yes, I tested on MAC, and Linux and it works, but only on Windows, it's not working.

So the only way I got it to work was by getting a fresh install of Windows (Work as tech support so have access to backup machines that I can format at any time) installed all the Visual C Runtimes then RPAN studio.

Went ahead and logged in. Then copied all the files in C:\Users\(user)\AppData\Roaming\rpan-studio. Took those back to my main PC and it's fine. Just need to make sure to never log out again until this is patched.

@pixel-vide, you're lucky, I spent a few hours reformatting to no avail.

Now just guessing here but it could be that the version of Windows you're installing will have the security patch or is updating during installation. The machine I picked was offline and the install USB was one that I had laying around from a few years ago.

Sorry you had deal with all that. Hopefully RPAN Studio will be patched soon.

I'll try an older copy of Windows 10

I installed an older Windows 10 version 1511 and vc runtimes, and now rpan studio and yes,I was able to login. I"m going to copy the profile data to the live windows 10 machine and see if that works.

I was able to copy user data in appdata like you said and it's working. signed in. signing out and in breaks again, so I have a copy of my profile data.

I guess windows will not allow the app to create credentials to be stored on the system. Thank for the work around.

someone posted another workaround to use windows compatibility mode. Nice.

I added your fix on reddit here. Thank you.

Holy crap it's been so long since I used compatibility mode that it didn't cross my mind to try it. Thanks for that.

I also can't log in, bummer.

gingerninja85 commented 2 years ago

Is anyone else still experiencing this? I’ve tried compatibility mode, using 25.0.7.7, trying the obs64 fix, nothing seems to work for me still. Running windows 11

Lizzard1877 commented 2 years ago

If using windows find the shortcut of RPAN located on desktop, right click, properties, compatibility, check run this program in combability for window 8, apply, ok, DONE!

hopefully this works!
